New iPad rumors circulate

It’s now been almost a full month since the iPad was introduced and it seems that is enough to get the rumors circulating again. As was widely commented from the moment the first people started going over the iPad compatible SDK, the iPad seems to have all the software plumbing for a camera.  It seems that newer versions  of the SDK indicate that it might actually have support for more than one camera.

This development has, of course, led to several people starting to speculate that when the iPad finally goes on sale some models might have cameras.  Right now, I think this is a bit over the top as I can’t see a good reason for Apple to want to make a mystery of the presence of a camera on the device.

Another round or rumors was triggered by a presentation by Tim Cook, earlier this week in which he mentions that the iPad would be available from other retail outlets besides Apple’s own stores.  This has led to a series of mentions that this or that retail chain will be offering iPads when they go on sale in a bit over a month.
