Opera Mini Approved for the iPhone, what about iPad?

Opera has just announced that the Opera Mini browser has been approved for the Apple App Store.  The browser is going to be available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.  The demo video that has been made available suggests a huge performance advantage over the built-in Safari browser.  This begs the question of when this application might find its way to the iPad.

Once Opera is actually available we will be able to compare how it handles multi-touch when compared to Safari.  The way Apple’s browser handles the touch interface has always been one of most important factors contributing for the great web experience you get in such a small device as an iPhone or iPod Touch.
