Vodafone Australia to offer unlimited data plan for iPads

Vodafone Australia has just announced its pre-paid data plans for the iPad with a bit of a bang.  There is an unlimited data access plan which will be available for A$ 49.95, or roughly the equivalent to $41 (US).  The remaining Aussie carriers had skipped on providing an unlimited option offering low cost, but low traffic options for iPad users.

Vodafone is asking customers to agree to two conditions on choosing this plan:  they will not make use of peer-to-peer services and that the iPad must be for personal use only.  All in all, this seems like a reasonable deal for the folks living down under.  The following picture shows the complete list of options currently presented on Vodafone Australia’s website.

Plans start at A$ 9.95 for 250 MBs of traffic per month, but only really start to make sense for a device like the iPad when they reach A$ 14.95 for 1GB of traffic per month.
